When to Book your Dallas Newborn Photographer

One question I get from a lot of Moms: When should I book my newborn photos?

Did you know you should book a date with your Dallas newborn photographer about 2-3 months before the baby’s due date? That means you’ll be booking 3-4 months out from the session date.

Why book so early?

Life is so much easier when we plan ahead! As your photographer, I have an exclusive session guide which will help you with tips and advice on how to prepare. You will want a few weeks to buy outfits, think about items to include in photos, etc.

Make sure your date is reserved on the calendar! Often times, my calendar will book weeks in advance. We only have a short time to capture your newborn and it is so important to reserve your date on the calendar early! You don’t want your preferred Dallas newborn photography to be booked.

How Old Should my Baby be for Photos?

Now that you know to book early, let’s talk about timing for your newborn photos.

Your newborn session will take place in your home and focus on a candid, lifestyle approach. I recommend booking your photos when your baby is 4 – 5 weeks old. By 4 weeks old your baby has started to have longer stretches of awake time and will start to give us some cute smiles. Their little personality will start to shine through!
