You guys. It is the first week of October. In some ways, I can’t believe it is October, but as you all know, this has also felt like the longest year ever. This is totally my busy season and I am so excited to see all of you, your kids, and your pets for your fall family photos in Coppell, Dallas, and Austin.
I know so many of us just want to fast forward through the next three months and get through 2020 as quickly as possible. With all the uncertainty that is coming up (aka November 3rd) we can only hope that 2021 will bring some relief from all that has happened in 2020.
That being said, October has always felt like a special month to me. I am taking today to allow myself to be excited about the end of the year and the start of the holiday season.
The First Day of October
First, October is all about family mini sessions and I have tons of fall family photos planned in Coppell and Dallas. I am checking out some new North Texas photography locations and can’t wait for you guys to see them.
Fall in Texas is always a toss-up, but this year we are feeling some relief from the heat and can actually step outside without immediately sweating! We pulled out all the Halloween decorations from our attic and picked up some pumpkins for our front porch. Next up on our list: choosing Halloween costumes! We will not be trick or treating this year but hopefully have some fun backyard games and will maybe visit a friend or two.
Another thing I love about October is that our family really tries to stop traveling and just stay home for the rest of the year. We are lucky enough to have our family close by and even though we drive to grandparent’s house for Thanksgiving it still feels close enough that it is not too stressful. Up next is Christmas and we love to stay home and host our entire family at our house for Christmas! It just feels easy to be low key and make it fun. My kids are at the perfect age for celebrating the holidays and I absolutely love it.
Fall Family Photos
Happy October 1st! I hope you find some little ways to enjoy the end of 2020. And don’t forget, if you still need lifestyle family photos for your holiday cards, send me a note, and let’s find you a spot on the calendar.
