Investing in education is so important, no matter what field you are in! Especially in a creative field, investing in your own education helps to bring in fresh creative ideas and keep technical skills strong. Over the last several months I have prioritized my education and it has easily been one of the best investments I could have made in my business as a Dallas Lifestyle Photographer. While Texas was under stay-at-home orders for Covid-19, I was looking for a way to start contributing to my photography business without actually being able to leave the house and take pictures (except of my family who grew tired of that real fast).

You guys – I found gold! I’ve spent six weeks being a part of the Making Lifestyle Work Mastermind hosted by Sabrina Gebhardt. This was such an amazing experience and I could not have found a better way to jump into my photography business as a Dallas lifestyle photographer. Sabrina is an amazing educator and brings in her own experience and knowledge in the most relatable way. Not to mention, she takes beautiful photographs and is just down the road from me in Fort Worth!

This Mastermind gave me the push to prioritize focusing on my business with a structured curriculum that fully covered backend system set up, marketing strategies and serving my clients. I know how important customer service is in a client-focused industry and I prioritize my client’s needs above and beyond all else. That means anything related to photography but also being a resource for other aspects of motherhood and family life – preschool info, kids activities, motherhood community recommendations, prenatal workouts, and anything else that I can help with!

Being a Dallas lifestyle photographer is so much more than just taking a picture. Anyone with a phone can do that! Having the privilege of working with you as a client is an honor that I don’t take lightly. My job is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, to prepare you for what to expect and make this the best experience possible. The biggest bonus to this Mastermind is the community of other photographers that I am now connected with. Some of these photographers have been in business for years and some are just starting out but come from a range of industries and each brought something unique to share. I learned just as much from these other ladies as I did from the course.
