I have always worked in creative industries – from graphic design to event planning to creative marketing. But launching my own photography business has been a unique combination of learning how to run the backend of a small business (hello sales tax and client invoicing) and the desire to create beautiful art for my clients. It is a fine balance between what should dominate my time and how to dedicate my resources to each aspect of my business. Not to mention, where I find JOY in my business because after all, artists become small business owners because we love the act of creating!
As 2021 comes to a close and I start planning for 2022, I’m putting a big focus on challenging my creativity for the sake of my clients. A huge piece of this is making sure that all the backend systems of my business are running as efficiently as possible, allowing me extra time to focus on creativity and client service. This is where continuing education comes in – let me introduce you to photography education with Sabrina Gebhardt!
I first found Sabrina on Instagram and fell in love with her in-home lifestyle photography. I was still building the identity of my own photography business and I knew her aesthetic was what I wanted to reach for. I clicked “Follow” and a few weeks later was ecstatic to see Sabrina launching the education side of her business! I immediately signed up for her first Professional Photographer Mastermind which was instrumental in setting up my new business for a successful launch. I have since participated in her exclusive Alumni Membership to continue learning from Sabrina on a monthly basis. I will also be jumping into Sabrina’s The Organized Photographer course to kick off the new year!
I am beyond excited to also be participating in Root to Rise for 2022, a 4-month experience combining a weekly Mastermind with a 3-day, in-person retreat outside of Austin, Texas. I will be diving deep into my business and learning alongside 10 other professional photographers. If you are a fellow photographer looking for continuing education or mentorship, look no further than Sabrina Gebhardt and her amazing programs.
If you are a current or future client, I am excited to offer you even better service in 2022 and beyond through in-home and in-studio lifestyle photography sessions.
