For the Nursing Mama

• Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump
  A friend gifted me the haakaa with my first baby and it was a total life changer. Attach the silicone pump to the opposite side of where your baby is nursing and collect all that valuable let down! Don’t let a single drop of milk to waste in a breast pad.
  
  There are several styles available, but I have found the original 4 oz size is the best fit – not too big or too small.
  
  
• Maternity & Nursing Tank Top from Amazon
  I hate buying maternity clothes so I try to find things that will work both during pregnancy and postpartum. I love these tank tops that are flowy enough for maternity but have easy access for nursing! I have 3 and may be buying more soon.
  
  
• Lanolin
  You can never have too much of this on hand. From sore nipples to blisters and dry skin, Lanolin is your new best friend.

For the Pumping Mom

• Wireless Breast Pump
  Your insurance should cover a breast pump with each pregnancy. I highly recommend looking for a wireless pump. It is so much easier to move around if your pump does not need to be plugged into the wall! I personally have the InStyle and Sonata from Medela, but there are lots of brands to choose from.
  
  
• Hands Free Pumping & Nursing Bra
  These simple cotton bras are the most comfortable bra that I have found! I wear them during pregnancy and postpartum. They can be used for hands free pumping or for nursing!
  

• See above for Lanolin which will also be your best friend 🙂

For Baby Wearing

• JJ Cole Agility Stretch Carrier
  Look for a baby carrier that goes over your head like a shirt – no crazy ties or straps to tighten! It is so much easier to put this style carrier on when you are alone with a crying baby. It stays tight and keeps baby close for skin to skin.

For Blow Outs

• Costco baby wipes and diapers are seriously the best quality out there, especially the wipes!! If you have access to a Costco membership, buy as many boxes of these wipes as you can. My oldest is almost 5 years old and we are still using them on a daily basis. They are super strong and extra big which is a huge help for blow outs. Their diapers are also a great deal!

For Sleeping

• VELCRO Swaddles
  I honestly don’t know how any parent keeps a regular swaddle closed. I use a velcro swaddle from day 1 of coming home from the hospital because I can never get swaddle blankets as tight as the labor and delivery nurses can.
