Maybe you’ve followed me on social media for a while. Perhaps you have already read the “About Me” section on my website and saw that I am a Frisco photographer. Maybe you know me in real life, or maybe you don’t know me at all yet. No matter your level of familiarity with me, I thought it would be fun to pop back in and re-introduce myself. 

I’m Erica, a Frisco photographer specializing in newborn and family sessions. I capture your family laughing and loving on each other so you don’t have to worry about missing these moments – only enjoying the ride.

Get to Know Me as a Frisco Photographer

I started my business in 2020, after my second son was born, but I was always enamored with design and photography. My love was sparked during a high school design class, and I majored in Art & Design at the University of Michigan (Go, Blue!) Before launching Erica Grandin Photography, I specialized in design and marketing for corporate brands and residential real estate clients. In short – art and creativity have always been in my blood. My photography business is the latest expression of those passions.

Technically speaking, I specialize as a Frisco photographer in lifestyle photography. But what does that mean to you? For starters, I don’t photograph families in a wide, open field. I photograph you in your home and in my natural light studio. I capture you loving on your family and while I will always snap a few shots of everyone smiling at the camera, I am there to show your real personalities and the true heartbeat of your family. Clients say I’m down-to-earth and fun, and that I set them at ease by being silly with your kids while directing the grown-ups on how to move and play in front of the camera. Equal parts approachability and expert art direction.

Personally, I understand my clients so well because I am one of you! My husband and I live in Frisco with our three bouncing boys – ages 5, 3, and almost 1. We run from school to soccer practice to swim lessons and story time at the Frisco library. We balance burping babies with toddler bedtimes…and everything in between. As a mom, I know that sometimes the days feel never-ending, but that the years are flying by. And I know there is SO much beauty in the chaos of everyday life with small kids because I’m living it, too

Trust me when I say not to worry about your kids being too crazy or running wild during our session. I am an expert when it comes to working with young kids and nothing your kids do will surprise me because I’ve seen it all with my own boys! And I will prepare you in advance with all of my tips on preparing for your session and keeping your kids happy while I snap your photos.
