There is something so special about a first time Momma going through pregnancy for the first time. But honestly, I love seeing a Mom and her firstborn together during her second (or third) pregnancy. She knows the moments of sitting quietly holding her first baby are quickly fading away and soon there will be a new little one taking up half her heart. Nothing can replace your first baby who made you a Mommy and things definitely change as more little ones join your family. I recently celebrated my youngest boy’s first birthday and cried all the Momma tears!

The second you bring a new baby into this world, your bigger kids immediately feel older. It’s this crazy moment that I don’t think you can prepare yourself for and tugs at your heart strings. Watching your older kids turn into big brothers and sisters makes then instantly seem so grown up.

No matter how much you try to prepare them, I don’t think an older sibling ever really knows what is coming their way with a baby sister or brother!
